My name is Shelly Hansen.
I'm a family law lawyer. For over twenty years I have sat with people in the middle of their hardest moments. And for most of that time, I had no idea I was quietly disappearing inside my own life.
On the outside, everything looked successful. A career. A family. A full life. On the inside, I was exhausted. Going through the motions. Managing everything and choosing nothing.
Then in 2020, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.
Infusion chemotherapy. A double mastectomy. Oral chemotherapy after that. All while the world had shut down, and I was navigating most of it alone.
Somewhere in the middle of all of it, I had a moment that stopped me cold.
I realized I had not been living my life. I had been managing it. For years. On autopilot. Without even noticing.
That experience did not motivate me. It woke me up.
I made two promises to myself.
I would stop living on autopilot. And I would do everything I could to help other women wake up before life forced them to.
I didn't rebuild my life with wishful thinking or hype. I rebuilt it deliberately, using neuroscience, behavioral psychology, identity work, and habit science to understand how real change actually happens in the brain and nervous system.
That work became Wake Up.
I'm not here to tell you what your life should look like, but to help you become conscious inside it again, so you can start choosing from clarity instead of habit.
You are not broken.
You are ready to wake up.
